Job Title: Junior Inspector
Location: Long Beach
Pay: $18.00 to $23.00 (depending on experience) / Job Class: Temp-to-Hire
Summary: The Junior Inspector supports the quality assurance efforts. This entry-level inspector would be ideal for someone with a background in aerospace, mechanical inspection, or manufacturing who want to grow their skill set.
Essential Functions:
- Perform dimensional and visual inspections of aerospace components and assemblies using hand tools, gauges, and other metrology equipment
- Document inspection results accurately and clearly using inspection reports and digital systems
- Support the calibration and maintenance of inspection equipment
- Assist senior inspectors and engineers in audits, process verifications, and quality initiatives
- Follow safety protocols and contribute to a clean and organized work environment
- Meet ITAR Requirement
- High school diploma or GED; additional technical training or certifications (e.g., AS9100, ISO 9001) preferred.
- Basic understanding of engineering drawings and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
- Familiarity with inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and comparators
- Strong attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills
- Willingness to learn and follow standard operating procedures
