Job Title: Janitor
Shift Hours: 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Location: South Bay
Pay: $18.00
Description: Perform general housekeeping activities and minor facilities maintenance.
- Maintain work areas and general break area clean and free of trash
- Clean bathrooms such as floors, fixtures, stalls, and replace products
- Operate power-cleaning equipment
- Sweep, mop, and dust hallways, lobby, shared spaces, and conference rooms
- Responsible for the proper handling and management of hazardous waste generated in their work area
- Perform other duties as assigned including, leading projects and participating in project committees
Qualifications:
- Must be able to comply with specific safety policies
- Read and understand internal procedures and policies
- Write request for supplies to lead/manager
- Understand and follow through on both verbal and written instructions
- Team oriented with a continuous improvement outlook
- Critical thinking skills and good decision-making thought processes
- Ability to effectively communicate among all levels within the organization
- High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred
- Previous shop experience with light equipment or trade experience preferred
- Pass background and drug screen
