Fabrication Helper

Days: Monday – Friday
Hours: 8:00 am- 4:30 pm + OT as needed
Pay: $18-$20 DOE


Job Description:

• Assist with machining operations using conventional lathes, ensuring accuracy and safe handling of materials.
• Operate bandsaws to cut metal and other materials according to specified measurements.
• Perform manual grinding, sanding, and deburring to smooth surfaces and remove imperfections.
• Support senior fabricators and machinists in setting up equipment and tools.
• Inspect and measure parts to ensure compliance with technical specifications.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety and housekeeping standards.
• Assist in material handling, staging, and movement throughout the shop floor.
• Report any equipment issues, safety concerns, or material shortages to the supervisor

Qualifications:

• 1–2 years of experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
• Hands-on experience with conventional lathes, bandsaws, grinding, and sanding tools.
• Ability to read and interpret basic mechanical drawings or instructions.
• Basic math skills and ability to use measuring tools (e.g., calipers, tape measure).
• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Willingness to learn and take direction in a fast-paced environment.
