Accounting Specialist – Temp to Hire

Location: Inland Empire (Onsite Only) — Candidates need to be local to the Inland Empire

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm

Pay Rate: $23–$25 per hour

 

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accounting Specialist for a temp-to-hire with our client located in the Inland Empire. This role requires strong organizational skills, accuracy in data entry, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review daily receiving department shipment logs, match with vendor invoices, and enter into Accounts Payable
  • Work directly with vendors to resolve shipping discrepancies and request credit memos as needed
  • Respond to vendor and customer service emails
  • Process shipment packets to create and post Accounts Receivable invoices in QuickBooks
  • Record cash receipts and prepare daily bank deposits
  • Assist with AR collections alongside management
  • Maintain office supplies inventory and place orders as needed
  • Support Accountant with special projects and reporting
  • Handle accurate filing, documentation, and ISO record maintenance
  • Perform heavy alpha/numeric data entry and 10-key processing by touch

 

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • QuickBooks experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy – must double-check work
  • Ability to handle a high volume of data entry with 10-key by touch
  • Strong organizational skills and dependable attendance record
