Job Description:
The Buyer/Planner role at California Faucets in Huntington Beach, CA involves managing procurement for component parts with long lead times and international/tariff experience. Reporting to the Purchasing and Planning Manager, responsibilities include demand planning/forecasting, supply planning, vendor relationship management, and inventory management.
Essential Duties:
– Forecasting/Demand Planning – Supply Planning and Purchase Order Management – Inventory Management – Supplier Relationship Management and Negotiation – Collaboration with Cross-functional Teams – Reporting and Data Analysis – Additional assignments as directed by the supervisor
Required Skills:
– Analytical skills and attention to detail – Strong/Advanced Excel skills – Comfortable in a fast-paced environment – Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams – Strong problem-solving skills – Experience with ERP systems
Preferred Experience:
– Managing purchasing for component parts – Understanding of international purchasing standards – Experience with long lead time purchasing
Education and Experience:
– Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field – Five (5) years of experience in demand planning/forecasting or supply chain management – Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel – Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and negotiations/supplier management – APICS CPM certification preferred
