Payroll Manager – No direct reports, managing the full payroll process from beginning to end.  This will be a stand alone payroll.

We are hiring a Payroll Manager to lead and manage full-cycle payroll processing for 200+ employees across multiple entities—both union and non-union. This is a hands-on role with no direct reports, reporting to the Financial Controller.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process bi-weekly payroll for 200+ employees using UKG Kronos

• Manage payroll across multiple entities, including union and non-union groups

• Ensure payroll compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and CBAs

• Review employee compensation data: salaries, benefits, taxes, deductions

• Maintain accurate records of new hires, terminations, pay changes, and deductions

• Prepare and distribute payroll reports for Finance, HR, management, auditors, and agencies

• Address employee payroll inquiries professionally and timely

• Partner with HR and Finance to ensure alignment of payroll operations

• Maintain and improve payroll procedures and documentation

• Apply union contract terms to payroll as needed

• Support 401(k) compliance and audits

• Assist with payroll budget planning and journal entries

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of full-cycle payroll experience, degree is preferred 

• Strong knowledge of UKG Kronos

• Experience with union payroll and multi-entity environments preferred

• Solid understanding of payroll laws and 401(k) compliance

• Strong Excel and reporting skills

• Detail-oriented with strong communication and organizational skills
