Title: Welder I Hours : 6 am – 2:30 pm Monday – Friday ( overtime as needed on Saturdays) Pay: $22-$28 DOE
Key Responsibilities:
Perform rework and development hardware as required;
Remove burrs, sharp edges, tool marks and other irregularities from welded parts to ensure they are in accordance with engineering blueprints, and tolerance requirements;
Perform routine maintenance of machines and equipment operated;
Clean, organize and maintain cellular manufacturing work area in accordance with established standards;
Set-up and operation of TIG Welding, Spot Welding, Laser Welding or Automatic Welding equipment
Strive to accomplish team goals and enhance the quality of machined parts through the reduction of scrap and improvement of throughput.
Manufacture and/or tests parts according to engineering and customer standards and specifications;
Supports and/or trains in other assembly areas as requested by Lead /Supervisor
Skills and Requirements:
Ability to acquire proficient knowledge of all Welding department operations;
Utilizes a variety of tool, gages and equipment;
Adequate manual dexterity;
Keeps quality up to acceptable standards with little discrepant work;
Ability to read, write, and follow written and verbal instruction in English;
Ability to work well with only a modest amount of repeated instructions;
Be team oriented and possess flexibility and adaptability;
Effective interaction with team members, customers and all levels of management. Reads, understands and correctly interprets basic blueprint drawings;
