Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our client's team in Carson. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general ledger accounting, a solid understanding of debits and credits, and advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
- Prepare and post journal entries
- Analyze financial transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Assist in month-end close processes
- Prepare financial reports and assist in budgeting
- Utilize Excel for data analysis and reporting
- Collaborate with other departments to support financial operations
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Proven experience in general ledger accounting
- Strong understanding of debits and credits
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
- Effective communication skills
