Job Title: Shipping Lead (1st Shift)

Location: Foothill Ranch, Ca

Pay: $24.50 per hour (D.O.E)

Schedule: Mon-Fri; 6:00am-2:30pm

Job Summary: The Lead assists in directing daily activities on the floor and equipment, focusing on achieving daily department goals and maintaining a safe work environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Coordinate department activities, ensuring continuous handling, preparation, transfer, and packaging of products.
• Utilize associates effectively based on daily requirements; assign and prioritize work.
• Track and ensure proper completion of assigned tasks.
• Communicate work instructions to employees.
• Participate in job tasks such as unboxing, sorting, bailing, and transferring products.
• Ensure proper execution of lock-out/tag-out procedures.
• Operate the WMS system to manage inventory and create reports.
• Create and review work instructions for consistency and positive results.
• Provide training and feedback to employees.
• Communicate with other departments about urgent orders and product availability.
• Coordinate with the maintenance department for timely equipment repairs.
• Track and address attendance issues as necessary.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Plan tasks in advance for the following day.
• Follow safety and housekeeping standards and specific SOPs for each area.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Responsible for team productivity, quality, and performance; acts as a liaison between the direct supervisor and the team.

Qualifications:

• Some high school education and 2-3 years of experience in a warehousing, distribution center, or manufacturing environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Forklift training/experience is a plus.
