Press Brake Operator

POSITION SUMMARY
Operate CNC press brakes and support the production team by assembling parts, operating machinery, bending and kitting metal products as instructed by supervisor.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate the CNC press brake and other machinery used in the sheet metal department or assist other machine operators.
- Select and set up tooling based on material type and thickness, load programs and set machine parameters to ensure optimal performance of the equipment.
- Knowledge about bend deductions and corrections.
- Operate the Spot-Welding machine.
- in the production process or assist machine operators.
- Uphold all ISO and OSHA standards applicable to the responsibilities above.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- 2+ years of experience on Trumpf, Amada or similar CNC press brake/bending machines.
- Solid background working with sheet metal.
- Ability to distinguish material types including Steel, A36, SSAB, Grade50, Stainless Steel and other types of metals.
High School Diploma or GED
AA Degree in Technical Engineering or Vocational schooling a plus.
