Position Overview: The Food Service Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist ensures that all food products and services meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. This role involves overseeing food preparation, monitoring compliance with health regulations, and conducting inspections to ensure food safety, quality, and consistency. Hours: 5:00am – 1:30pm (must be flexible with schedule) Salary: $21.00/hr
Responsibilities:
Conduct regular inspections of food preparation areas to ensure compliance with food safety standards, sanitation, and hygiene practices.
Monitor food quality and consistency by sampling products and reviewing production processes.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal health regulations and best practices.
Collaborate with kitchen staff and management to address quality issues and implement improvements.
Review and evaluate food delivery and storage procedures to ensure proper handling and temperature control.
Train staff on food safety protocols, quality standards, and best practices for handling food.
Maintain detailed records of quality assurance inspections, audits, and corrective actions.
Work closely with suppliers and vendors to ensure that raw materials and ingredients meet quality standards.
Investigate customer complaints related to food quality and implement corrective actions as needed.
Qualifications:
Experience in food service or food safety roles, preferably with quality assurance responsibilities.
Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and regulatory requirements.
Strong attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
Certification in food safety or quality assurance is a plus (e.g., ServSafe).
Ability to handle and resolve quality-related issues quickly and professionally.
