Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Metal Finisher to join our Finishing Department. This role is essential to achieving high-quality craftsmanship in a variety of metal finishes. Key responsibilities include preparing, polishing, and finishing metal parts using various tools and techniques to meet product specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Metal Preparation: Sandblast, clean, and prepare metal surfaces for finishing.
• Polishing & Buffing: Operate polishing and buffing equipment to smooth, satin, or polish parts to required standards.
• Metal Finishing: Apply chemical solutions for plating, burnishing, and living finishes; manage electro-stripping processes.
• Inspection: Perform visual checks to ensure finished parts meet quality specifications.
• Documentation: Use barcode scanners and personal computers to track inventory and update production records.
• Additional Duties: Follow supervisor directives for other assigned tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D. required.
• Minimum of 6 months of related experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to follow safety protocols.
• Comfortable working in a physical environment with exposure to heat, cold, dust, and chemicals.
• Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
