Growing manufacturer in South Las Vegas, NV (Paradise area) is hiring an experienced Electromechanical Engineering Technician to add to their team. This is a full time, permanent position with excellent benefits and fun work environment. 

OVERVIEW:

In this important role, you will maintain the lab and its equipment in order to be able to test, assemble, and rework samples as new product is introduced. This role will also be responsible for testing and reworking prototype samples for any new customer requirements.

MAIN DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:

    • Read blueprints, schematics, and diagrams to determine how to assemble parts
    • Use instruments to measure parts and confirm they meet specifications.
    • Inspect parts for defects.
    • Test the performance of electro-mechanical assemblies.
    • Install electronic components using soldering equipment and hand tools.
    • Analyze and record test results and prepare written documentation.
    • Full lifecycle testing on new products.
    • Look at mechanical drawings for new products.
    • Review 3D models in SolidWorks.
    • Take part in customer Design reviews with attention to DFM.
    • Use Change Control and issue Engineering Change Notices (ECN).
    • Help with assembly and construction of prototype samples.
    • Assist when required in performing SIR, FAI inspection approvals (on new parts).

    REQUIREMENTS:
    • Associate Degree or higher in electronic or mechanical technology or equivalent years of relative experience.
    • 3-4 + years of electronic or mechanical related experience.
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
    • Teamwork mentality
    • Mechanical aptitude and ability to understand complex diagrams and schematics.
    • Creative thinker who can  “Think outside the Box”
    • Experience using soldering equipment.
    • Experience using hand tools, drill press, table saw, calipers, micrometers, scales.
    • Metal fabrication and injection molding knowledge are both a plus.
    • Assembly knowledge, 3D Modeling.
    • Familiar with Bills of Material (BOM)
    • SolidWorks 
    • Microsoft Office a must, and SAP is a plus
