CNC Lead Operator

Hours : 6 am – 2:30 pm + OT as needed
Location: Upland Ca
Pay: $30- $35 DOE
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes (primarily Haas).
- Perform tooling changes and precision setups with minimal supervision.
- Interpret blueprints, work instructions, and technical drawings.
- Make program edits directly at the machine (G-code/M-code knowledge required).
- Utilize Mastercam for toolpath creation and modifications.
- Inspect parts using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
- Assist with troubleshooting and process improvements.
- Provide guidance to junior machinists and support a collaborative shop environment.
- 5+ years of hands-on CNC machining experience (mills and lathes).
- Proficient in operating and setting up Haas machines.
- Skilled in Mastercam for programming and toolpath optimization.
- Strong understanding of machining tolerances, speeds, feeds, and cutting tools.
- Ability to edit G-code and resolve in-process machining issues.
- Leadership or mentoring experience is a strong plus.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
