Assistant Controller (Culver City, On-Site)

A growing company is seeking a highly organized and analytical CPA candidate to serve as an Assistant Controller, working on-site in Culver City. The successful candidate will lead the Texas location in collaboration with the CFO and Accounting Manager, handling various financial tasks and ensuring smooth operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interface with Payroll Dept for Payroll Journal Entries.
• Reconcile payroll quarterly and annual reports.
• Manage revenue reconciliation and financial statements for the Texas entity.
• Handle quarterly and annual worker’s comp reconciliations, including interfacing with the annual audit.
• Oversee specific location & other business licenses and prepare work comp bid sheets.
• Assist with business insurance renewals.
• Reconcile A/R monthly, prepare cash flow statements, and handle all business license applications/filings.
• Lead year-end G/L reconciliations and contribute to special projects.
• Serve as a backup for bank reconciliations, health insurance bill allocations, and filing sales tax returns for New York and Connecticut.

• Strong proficiency with Excel and excellent communication skills.
• Highly analytical with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work under pressure.
• Expertise in accounting, confidentiality, and thoroughness.
• Ability to research and utilize resources effectively.

Temp to Hire
Pay rate: $55.00 and up (DOE) 
Salary ranges: 115k-125k (DOE)
