Immediate opportunity for an experienced Manufacturing Maintenance Mechanic to join a growing food production facility in Santa Fe Springs! This is a permanentposition (NOT a contract) on morning shift and has great pay and benefits.
SUMMARY: In this role you willprovide appropriate maintenance to keep equipment running properly and efficiency at 85% as a minimum of general production, utilities and facilities related equipment to efficiently meet quality standards and production daily requirements.
High School graduate or equivalent; technical school is a plus
2 + years experience as a maintenance mechanic in a manufacturing environment
Ability to read/write speak and comprehend English preferred. Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
Able to identify and correct various production, utilities and facilities equipment problems.
Experience in troubleshooting and correcting mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and small electrical issues on process and facilities equipment.
Knowledgeable about metric and standard fasteners, bearings, gears, gearboxes, sprockets, chain,tabletop chain rail spacing, etc.
Understand the relationship between equipment and conveyor speeds and production output.
Appropriate tool selection for each job.
Familiar in measuring with tape measure and calipers.
Proficient at reading blueprints and equipment manuals.
Experience in using drill, saw, taps, dies, and use hand tools.
Can use drill press, hydraulic press, horizontal saw, vertical saw and bench grinder.
Fabrication, knowledge of metals and welding is desired. (MIG and heliarc preferred.)
Mill and lathe operation experience is preferred.
Ability to thread and bend pipe preferred.
Familiar with analog and digital instrumentation and control systems is preferred.
May participate in a practical exam before placement in position.
Familiar with computers for programs such as Outlook, Word, Excel, etc. .
Experience with Preventative Maintenance Databases and Software (i.e. SAP) is preferred).
