Job Summary

This position will be working with thermoformed plastic and composite laminate products.The individual must embrace a role in assuring correct manufacturing plans are utilized in the manufacturing process in a timely manner. This is accomplished by creating and maintaining master routing documentation, addressing shop floor issues regarding bill of materials (BOMs) and methods of manufacturing (MOMs) as they arise; coordinating with manufacturing, programs, purchasing and quality.

Duties & Responsibilities

Create and maintain master routing documentation for manufacturing jobs by working in conjunction with production and quality to determine operation work centers, manufacturing sequences and referencing quality documents pertaining to work procedures.

Verification of process capabilities and approvals to applicable specifications as defined by customer requirements.

Address shop floor issues regarding BOMs and MOMs as they arise, coordinate with manufacturing engineering, contracts, procurement, and quality to find resolution.

Update master routing documentation related to customer drawing and specification changes and facilitates problem solving, specification interpretation, etc. with manufacturing.

Ensures all customer submitted production changes are documented and the work plans are updated.

Create and maintain all customer supplied and non-supplied part numbers within database.

•Participate in IPT teams and be an integral team member, as well as function independently.

Maintain safe working practice's and ensure work areas are clean and free of any possible hazardous situations.

Perform all other duties as assigned.

Required Experience/Education/Training/Certifications:

BS Degree in manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering or similar technical educational background preferred or combination of technical and work related experience.

Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, aerospace, defense and commercial aviation.

Lean manufacturing experience, six sigma and use of continuous improvement tools and processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

•Self-starter with excellent time management skills, project management and ability to establish objectives and specify the strategiesand actions toachieve those objectives.

Excellent Blueprint reading skills a must.

Familiar with Boeing process specs and documents required.

•Excellent written and verbal skills with the ability to articulate clear messages.

•Computer literate, SolidWorks proficiency and able to fully utilize all facets of Microsoft software.

•Experienced withAS9100 qualitymanagement system.

•Working knowledge of GD&T.
