Job Description
Happiness Specialist Opening 

Our client a leader in the waste water and general industry markets  is looking for a Happiness Specialist to enhance their fun work environment and culture that fosters overall happiness and well - being. 

Duration: Direct Hire
Pay: 45k-50k DOE

Job Duties Include but not limited to: 

  • Plans and coordinates all company events, including holiday parties, picnics, team-building exercises, etc.
  • Plans and develops company contests, like a cubicle decoration contest or fitness challenge
  • Develops and manages employee recognition programs.  Programs will be defined by company management.
  • Holds regular small group employee meetings with cross-functional groups to identify areas of opportunity to bring more fun and job satisfaction to the company.  Able to turn feedback into a written action plan and execute it.
  • Manages the employee onboarding program, including coordination with HR, IT and the hiring manager/department to ensure that new hires have a special start to their JWC relationship
  • Develops and manages all community outreach programs
  • Develops special programs for employees’ special days, like birthdays, work anniversaries, and retirements
  • Develops an annual Happiness Plan to show the short-term and long-term impacts of the programs
  • Ability to build excitement and energy around employee programs and events
  • Ability to work a flexible shift that may include nights and weekend as required for company sponsored events
  •  Limited travel may be required
  • Maintains a professional self-image as a representative of the Company
  • Controls expenses to meet budget guidelines

Minimum Requirements Include: 

·         Bilingual: Spanish is required

·         Excellent listening skills

·         Excellent group facilitation skills

·         Spontaneous and creative

·         Must have reliable transportation that allows him/her to go to event locations and shop for supplies

·         A lifelong learner who is willing to read books and go to training sessions to advance his/her skill

·         Excellent organizational skills and detail orientation

·         Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as outstanding overall presentation skills

·         Flexible, reliable, strong work ethic, dependable team player, positive, constructive attitude

·         Outstanding business etiquette skills

·         Ability to use technology and analysis tools (Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint)


·         Ability to interact with all levels of employees, from the manufacturing floor to the executive office
