Growing property management company in San Ramon has an immediate need for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join their team! This is a full time, permanent position with benefits and a company truck (NOT a contract job)! Under the supervision of the Property Manager, this position performs a wide variety of general building maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance of property appearance for office, and industrial parks in various locations.We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work and has great customer service skills.
SCHEDULE: Day shift position working 8am-5pm Monday-Friday. *Willing to work overtime ,weekends, during holidays, or during non-work hours for emergencies, with short notice.
OVERVIEW:
Vacant office space preparation to deliver an appealing vacant space for marketing and lease-up in a timely, cost effective manner. This may include the following:
Replace lights, ballasts and ceiling tiles as needed
Update plumbing fixtures
Change thermostat electrical outlets and switches,
Lite carpentry, dry wall and cabinetry work
Paint the interior of the space
Assure storm drains are kept clean and clear of debris
Property inspections to identify areas in need of repair and report any maintenance, or mechanical problems
Troubleshoot HVAC electrical and plumbing systems, as needed
Paint exterior walls, touch up of parking stalls, trim, etc.
Making sure all common areas are clean and neat at all times;
Monitor electrical distribution switchboard rooms to ensure that no foreign items are stored
Handle maintenance work orders according to schedule, in a timely manner.
Complete and submit receipts and paperwork accurately and on time
Respond to emergency calls with urgency
Deliver outstanding customer service at all times
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
2 + years experience in commercial office building operations
General maintenance skills including plumbing, HVAC, electrical, mechanical, carpentry, waterproofing and roofing
Comfortable working on roofs
Strong knowledge of building trade tools and equipment
Exemplary customer service skills
Complete work on time and accurately
Strong communicator, must be able to follow oral and written directions, and communicate with tenants in an effective and professional manner
Able to lift (push/pull/carry) 25+ pounds, and climb ladders
Must be willing to submit to a background investigation and drug test.

Must have valid driver’s license with good DMV driving record and proof of auto liability insurance.
Must have reliable transportation
SALARY:$28-33 per hour depending on experience. Great benefits and company truck provided.
