Job Description
Growing furnishing manufacturer located near Ontario Mills is looking for an experienced Product Manager to join their team in Ontario, California.Will report to head of Marketing and play a key part in every detail of manufacturing our products from start to finish. Willoversee material selection, colors, pattern, design, and all of product development. Will determine price point and product consistency.

This position will work in Ontario in the facility daily. Full time, permanent position with pleasant work environment and excellent benefits with bonus potential on top of base salary.


Summary of Duties:

  • Monitor metrics such as Net Sales, Gross Margin and Growth by Product Category.
  • Help to coordinate and support the new product development process.
  • Oversee the entire product portfolio, optimizing it to fuel growth of net sales and margin and ensuring its consistency.
  • Manage the New Product Development program and ensure the launch & roll out of the new products in a timely manner.
  • Participate in regular meetings and updates with the different internal teams; continuously identify and implement improvement plans.
  • Define the new products (technical specifications, purchasing price, selling price).
  • Ensure product consistency, compliance with established standards & regulatory requirements.
  • Work closely with our key retailers and sales force for the design and development of their exclusive product lines.
  • Provide the training manager with the necessary product information and materials.
  • Work closely with the communications manager for the development of all product literature.
  • Proactively monitor the industry for innovation, materials and product design.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in the furniture or interior design industry (high end product experience is a plus)
  • College degree is a plus but not required.
  • Background in working in a metric driven/KPI environment
  • Detail oriented and able to work within deadlines
  • Passion for interior design and furnishings.
  • Experience working with vendors and maintaining key relationships.
  • Strong MS Office and reporting skills.
