Job Title: Warehouse Clerk

Pay:$13.25 per hour

Schedule:M-F 8 AM- 5 PM plus 4 hrs on Saturdays when needed

Location: Paramount, CA

Job Type:Temp-to-Hire

The Warehouse Clerk will be responsible for the following:

  • Operates powered industrial forklift to transport inventory, unload incoming stock.
  • Pulls and stages orders for shipment.
  • Fill and transact work orders, purchase orders and sales orders.
  • Perform cycle counts.
  • Replenish production line materials and receive completed devices.
  • Examine and inspect stock items for defects, reporting any damage to supervisors.
  • Follows standard operating procedures.
  • Transact inventory movements using inventory control system.
  • Fill independent demands for material requisitions.
  • Ensure FIFO is followed for all transactions.
  • Monitors equipment or processes and reports problems to supervisor.
  • Keeps area safe, clean and organized.
  • Unload items to be stocked in warehouses and/or Production.
  • Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock, and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors.
  • Prepares shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, orders, and other records to determine shipping priorities, work assignments, and shipping methods required to meet shipping and receiving schedules.
  • Perform incoming/outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments.
  • Directs movement of shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage and work areas.
  • Posts weight and shipping charges.
  • Packages company products for shipment.
  • Processes product packing slips by picking product, moving it to the shipping area placing on a pallet & wrapping. Heavy machines require special packaging--building reinforced boxes, strapping, and bolting down.
  • Using inventory control, receives material into the system and moves it to staging area.
  • Informs appropriate [personnel of product receipt.
  • Communicates issues/discrepancies with Purchasing.
  • Resolves issues as needed.

  • High School Education, one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as add, subtract, multiply, divide, discounts, proportions, and percentages.

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out verbal instructions, written or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized and non-standardized situations.

  • A sense of urgency, flexibility, adaptability to constant change, attention to details, follow through, and an attitude of service, cooperation, quality and continuous improvement in work processes and output
