Job Description
Immediate opportunity for an experienced Master Production Scheduler to join a growing manufacturing company in Long Beach!
This is a full time, direct hire position with benefits. 


OVERVIEW:
  • In this role you will develop and maintain a Master Production Schedule covering each step of the manufacturing process in an ERP system.
  • Create a capacity model to establish an achievable production utilization plan (machine and man hour) and a consumable requirement plan based on a 12 month rolling sales forecast
  • Enter potential orders in Master Production Schedule in ERP system to reserve production capacity and provide manufacturing lead time for quotation purpose
  • Enter firm orders in ERP system and confirm delivery commitments to sales
  • Identify and elevate to Operations and Sales management in a timely fashion any potential production problems (labor, equipment, and material) exposing delivery commitments
  • Develop and maintain planning metrics (on-time delivery in full, Work In Progress inventory, manufacturing lead time)
  • Provide a consumable requirement plan to Purchasing Manager in order to control optimum stock.
  • Establish Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to cover all the tasks of the Master Production Scheduler
  • Work to reduce the cost of sales by recommending improvements to procedures, contracts and agreements.
  • Adhere to the Company Health, Safety and Environmental Practices and Procedures at all times.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain / Production Planning
  • APICS certification or equivalent professional certification
  • 3 to 5 years in manufacturing environment a must - (metal industry preferred casting/forging/machining)
  • Experience Scope-Planning for $100M+ revenue
  • Cross functional support of Operations, Sales, Purchasing, IT and Management team
  • This position is required to work in and office (primarily) and manufacturing (foundry) environment
  • Employee will be required to wear hearing, eye, head, and foot protection (PPE)
