Job Description
Growing manufacturing company in Long Beach now adding to their facilities team and looking for a Facilities Technician! This is a permanent position with benefits, NOT a contract.  day time position working 5am-1:30pm with overtime and some weekends may be required at times. 

The primary function of this role is to safely perform building
 maintenance, repairs, with emphasis on printing, plumbing, and general building maintenance. Ability to follow detailed instructions to complete routine procedures and/or operate standard equipment. Effective time management, organizational and multi-tasking skills necessary to work in a fast paced environment, handling various tasks and changing priorities, while maintaining a high attention to detail and accuracy to achieve daily goals. Making sure the plant is being maintained and serviced in a timely manner in order to improve our plants appearance and ultimately reach a world class level

  • Inspect facilities systems, fixtures & complete daily rounds
  • Use safe work practices and procedures that include but are not limited to:
  • Utilize proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) per specific task
  • Use proper lifting and carrying methods
  • Utilize hand and power equipment, tools, and supplies
  • Perform heavy labor, such as moving equipment or furniture
  • Ability to use mechanical methods to perform task safely
  • Maintain the appearance of the interior and exterior areas of the facility
  • Cleaning and maintaining surfaces and different areas of the facility

  • Perform a full range of skilled maintenance and repairs on all facility related items
  • Able to project a time  frame of completion, generate material lists and complete a Job Safety Analysis prior to starting jobs
  • Well-developed oral and written communication skills to meet a variety of communication needs.
  • Maintain the Hazardous Waste Management area
  • Perform other duties as requested
  • Sweep and mop floors.
  • Clean buildings by emptying trash, sweeping, and cleaning surfaces.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as directed


  • Continuous improvement mind-set
  • Basic Mechanical/Electrical Knowledge
  • Experience with basic hand and measuring (ruler, tape measure, scale) tools
  • Basic math skills
  • Able and willing to drive mobile equipment (fork-lift, aerial boom)
  • Professional, Customer service attitude and abilities
  • Strong Verbal/Written Communication Skills
  • Enthusiastic, responsible, and dependable team player
  • Self-motivated, takes initiative, anticipate the needs of others
  • Willing to learn
  • Ability to organize tasks with attention to details
  • Some plumbing and basic building repair experience
  • Some Hazmat knowledge preferred
