Job Description
Well established company based in Irvine, CA is adding an experienced Workers Compensation Coordinator to our team.
This is a full time, permanent position with great salary and benefits.

Overview:
This important position isthe initial point of contact for Workers’ Compensation claims for several staffing agency branch offices.
Will report to the Workers Compensation Claims Manager and works in the office Monday-Friday in Irvine.
Once training has been fully completed, this may position may become a hybrid role, working up to two days remotely and three in the office.

Main Duties:
  • Manages claims process from intake, investigation, through closure
  • Reviews records, investigate claims, and assist in the evaluation of current offerings.
  • Acts as liaison between corporate / field offices to help gather information that will allow proper response to claim losses
  • Helps field offices with job site investigations (obtaining supervisor/witness statement, follow-up on incident details, etc.)
  • Communicates with Insurance Claims Rep, and injured worker for appointments, treatment, work restrictions, and claim closure
  • Works with Insurance Claims Rep and different internal companydepartments for return to work or modified duty work program for injured employees
  • Collaborates with medical providers on work statuses, restrictions, and updates
  • Maintains reports to track claims and informs management of any updates on pending claims
  • Assists internal teams and third-party service providers in various Risk Management and Safety activities
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of experience in workers compensation or claims handling
  • Must be bilingual in Spanish and English
  • High School Education required (College degree is a plus)
  • Clear communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Experienced using Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook on a daily basis
  • Able to multitask, and react quickly to changing situations
  • Great customer service skills
  • WCCMS claim management or other claims management system knowledge required
