Job Summary-a concise overview of the job

Learns to receive components and supplies, pulling orders, issuing and returning components, shipping product, assisting with inventory, and maintaining warehouse cleanliness.Completes tasks with close supervision or oversight.May participate in continuous improvement projects.Interfaces with other departments.

All incumbents are responsible for following applicable Division & Company policies and procedures.

§Pulls and returns Production Orders.

§Receives materials from suppliers.

§Learns, operates and becomes certified in forklift (except swing reach).

§Delivers materials to Production.

§Maintains cleanliness of Warehouse or Distribution center.

§Learns JDEdwards or other relevant inventory management systems.

§Learns and assists in verifying inventory quantities.

§Completes warehouse logs.

§May do physical counts as it relates to transaction errors and deviations.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

Minimal acceptable level of education, work experience andcertifications required for the job

§HS diploma or equivalent with 0 – 1 years’ related experience.


Knowledge

Proficiency in a body of information required for the job

e.g. knowledge of FDA regulations, GMP/GLP/GCP, Lean Manufacturing, Six-Sigma, etc.

§Learns cGMP processes.

§Learns of shipping hazardous materials.

§Learns DEA Compliance regulations.

§DOT awareness training(acquired on the job).

Physical Requirements

Physical & mental requirementse.g. lift 40 pounds, walk across plant/warehouse, business travel (% of time), driving as part of work responsibilities, etc.

§Must be able to stand for long periods of time (up to 12 hour shifts), lift at least 50 pounds, climb ladders, and be able to wear respirators and all required PPE, including safety glasses, and safety shoes.

§Dexterity - ability to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble packages.

§Vision - ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).

§Hearing - ability to detect sounds.

§Multi-limb Coordination - ability to coordinate two or more limbs (for example, two arms, two legs, or one leg and one arm) while sitting or standing.
