Sr. Maintenance Technician

Our client is seeking a Sr. Maintenance Technician to support with facility maintenance and repairs at the Irvine, CA manufacturing plant at the Carlsbad, CA headquarters.

Pay:$35.00 - $40.00

Schedule: Mon - Fri9:00 AM - 6:30 PM

The Sr. Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the following:

• Complete equipment preventive maintenance (PM) as scheduled in compliance with our Quality System and ensure PM files are completed in a timely manner and documented appropriately
• Perform unscheduled service /repairs.
• Conduct daily inspection of the facility (inside and outside) and perform general facility maintenance
• Recognize and remedy a valve or component that is out of adjustment or needs to be replaced
• Rebuild compressors, pumps, etc., independently
• Perform project work that includes an abundance of plumbing and silver solder work
• Connect power unit to machines or steam piping to equipment, and test unit to evaluate its mechanical operation
• Must be able to work at both Irvine and Carlsbad locations when needed

Qualifications for the Sr. Maintenance Technician:

• 7+ years’ maintenance experience in the manufacturing industry
• 1-2 years’ experience in medical device manufacturing or similar industry
• Experience with developing floor plans, site drawings, engineering drawings, pulling building permits
• Experienced in developing budgets related to department, build out projects, and equipment
• Strong knowledge of mechanical equipment, HVAC, refrigeration, fire systems, stand-by emergency power, and preventive maintenance
• Demonstrated ability to work creatively, prioritize, and smoothly manage goals and initiatives amidst competing priorities
• Critical thinker with strong attention to detail and ability to problem solve and establish solutions in a high-growth and fast-paced environment
