Job Description

Immediate opportunity for an experienced BilingualBenefits Specialistto join a growing professional employer organization in the Irvine area! This is a direct hire/permanent opportunity working 8 am-5 pm Monday-Friday.

In this role you will advise clients on all benefit matters; learn and guide on online enrollment; forward premiums; administer COBRA and benefits during leave. Will develop and maintain client relationships to ensure success in helping clients achieve their business goals by responding to questions and issues promptly, efficiently, & accurately.

Overview:

  • Provide exceptional customer service to clients and their employees on benefit matters, through the use of excellent interpersonal and communication skills and benefit knowledge

  • Assist in developing online open enrollment, including communicating plan changes to clients and their employees;

  • Audit and reconcile monthly carrier/administrator bills

  • Coordinatebenefits during leaves of absence and COBRA

  • Manage enrollments, changes, and terminations for all employee benefit-related information into the proper carrier/administrator information systems

  • Review and process transactions, including data integrity by generating reports and analyzing data

  • Commitment to continuously improve professional knowledge, work responsibilities, skill-set, and effective delivery of client services

  • Answer health care coverage questions, issues,& concerns about benefits, payments, eligibility with HR & Payroll

  • Maintainproper documentation, maintain confidentiality, and prepare reports

Requirements:


  • Bilingual English/Spanish required

  • 3+ years of group benefit experience & customer support AND Bachelors Degree in HR or HR certification preferred OR equivalentcombinationof education/certification and work experience.

  • Strong knowledge of important federal and state regulations affecting employee benefit programs, such as COBRA, ERISA, HIPAA, and Section 125

  • Knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within benefits, payroll, and HR

  • Demonstrated skill in use of HRIS, including ability to assist in the design, testing, and training on online enrollment

  • Exceptional customer service skills and ability to handle confidential information with great sensitivity, and ability to manage difficult or emotional situations

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and HRIS

  • Abilitytoworkeffectivelywithlimitedsupervisionandhighmotivation,understress,withinterruptions,and within deadlines

  • Basicmathskills,includingpremiumbillingandreconciliation

  • Organized and detail-oriented while multi-tasking, prioritizing, exercising sound judgment, maintaining professionalism and courtesy, and meeting deadlines in fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions

  • Solid accounting skills to ensure proper invoice processing and payments

  • Excellent (written/verbal) communication and interpersonal skills, including ability to present information in front of people and explaining detailed information.

  • Life & Disability license a plus
