Job Description
Large innovative metal-forming manufacturer company is seeking a Quality Technician.

Location:Garden Grove, CA
Pay:DOE

SUMMARY:

It is the primary function of the Quality Technician to perform and monitor all phases of Quality process flow.This includes, but is not limited to the following:

  • Receiving Inspection
  • First Article Inspection
  • In-Process inspection
  • Final Inspection
  • The quality technician shall be able to perform all phases of quality system requirements as defined in the quality system standard AS-9100C and ISO-9001:2008.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Must be able to perform all duties up to Quality Assurance Technician Level B (370-TCH-B)

  • The quality technician shall be able to perform all phases of quality system requirements as defined in the quality system standard AS-9100C and ISO-9001:2008.
  • Performs all phases of inspection: first article, in-process and receiving inspection using precision hand tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauge, optical comparators, and others.
  • Reports, isolates and identifies suspect and nonconforming products and out of control condition.
  • Prepares nonconformance reports (DMRs) and conducts MRB meeting as needed.
  • Performs final inspection and approves or rejects products for shipments through verification of all processes and requirements required by customers’ purchase orders.
  • Performs floor audits and verifies that in-process control checks are performed at established frequencies, documentations are properly filled out and instructions are being followed.
  • Performs internal calibration, monitors calibration system and arrange calibration with calibration providers.
  • Prepares PPAP packages and similar documents.
  • Performs and analyze capability studies.
  • Process Engineering Change Requests.
  • Creates and updates quality documents: FAIRs, In-Process Control Plans and SPC forms.
  • Updates and creates work instructions, visual aids and prepares quality reports.
  • Abides by all company policies and procedures as stated in the Employee Hand Book, policy manuals, work instructions, bulletins and dated memos.
  • Must be able to develop and revise basic work instructions and procedures.
  • Must be able to train other QA Techs and Operators.
  • Other duties as assigned
