Company Overview: Our client an international high- technology group operating in the aircraft propulsion and equipment space and defense markets is looking for a Receiving Inspector for their facility in Costa Mesa.
Job Duties Include but not Limited to:
Inspects parts, products, and/or processes to insure conformance with established standards.
Inspects materials or products using fixed or variable precision measuring devices (e.g. calibers, micrometers, height gages, Computer-driven Optical Inspection Systems, compression and extension spring testers, XRF thickness measurement gages).
Under minimum supervision, performs tasks of substantial variety which require knowledge of inspection techniques, materials, gauges, tools, and equipment, including electronic and mechanical measuring instruments.
Work from engineering drawings, red-lined, manuals or prototypes to assure conformance to established quality specifications
Provides precise documentation of all inspections.
Maintains all controlled document files and test records in a timely and accurate manner.
Performs other related duties as assigned such as inspection acceptance entry on ERP database, populates and maintains rejections on Excel spreadsheets, prints out daily backlog report.
Maintains excellent working relationship with other employees and suppliers.
Complies with AS9100 and departmental policies, procedures and FAA regulations.
Effective performance of assigned tasks to ensure that items inspected meet all applicable requirements
A positive image of the company and Quality Assurance department projected to personnel, both inside and outside contacts.
Knowledge of ANSI Y 14.5, Geometric Dimensions and Tolerances.
Minimum Requirements Include:
Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent
At least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
Requires the ability to read, write and interpret drawings, specs, requirements
Requires the use of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of whole numbers (basic math skills)
Fluency in reading and writing of English
Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
