Job Description
Expanding ISO 9001 and AS9100 certified manufacturing company has immediate need for an experiencedMaster Production Plannerfor the new facility located in Phoenix, AZ. Great opportunity to join an established company in a brand new building. Permanent full time position with great benefits!

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist scheduling and determining priority of manufacturing jobs for a single department or group of departments towards establishing a pull system; ability to respond well to changes in demand
  • Support NPD projects to ensure higher win rates and timely execution through proper planning and cross-functional collaboration and communication
  • Creating and maintaining detailed master production and material plans for the product line to use in driving Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and planning production capacity to support SOP
  • Runs and controls MRP in order to guarantee the required production flexibility and reach the targeted inventory levels
  • Analyzes plans, planning documents, modification planning data, in order to apply proper time spans for processing materials, parts, and assemblies and to meet required delivery dates
  • Reschedules work flow to reflect shifting priorities of departmental loading.
  • Coordinates with purchasing to obtain and schedule materials based on backlog and production schedules.
  • Interacts with Operations to resolve difficulties; also partner with Procurement as needed to facilitate inventory levels and optimization initiatives
  • Manages raw materials inventory levels; maintains inventory accuracy through cycle count based on ABC grouping of part numbers
  • Follows the physical progress of materials or goods to insure conformance to schedule
  • Provides status updates of orders to customer service and management
  • Maintain necessary records and documentationand Assembly, Machine Shop and Assembly and Procurement and Engineering/ Production to maintain an uninterrupted flow of required materials
  • Performs tasks equal to or exceeding established standards while keeping quality up to acceptable standards
  • Supports Operations and Quality in critical areas as required or when available

Requirements:

  • Solid experience with inventory management, Kanban systems, safety stock, cycle count
  • Strong knowledge in ERP Systems (Syteline is a plus), Master Production Scheduling, Production Planning, and Capacity Planning
  • Experience with backward and forward scheduling
  • Effective time management skills
  • Communicate professionally and respectfully with all levels of the organization
  • Work consistently to meet the Company’s objectives and traveling as required
  • Continuous improvement/lean manufacturing focus
  • Availability, flexibility, and maturity to represent the Company
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods in front of a computer as necessary
  • Microsoft Office tools including Excel, Outlook, Access; advanced skills in Excel a must
  • Must be ITAR compliant
  • Adapt to changes productively
  • Team oriented and possess flexibility
  • Ability to read, write and follow written and verbal instructions in English
