Job Description
Expanding ISO 9001 and AS9100 certified manufacturing company has immediate need for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer for the new facility located in Phoenix, AZ. Great opportunity to join an established company in a brand new building. Permanent full time position with great benefits!

MAIN FOCUS:
  • Design, develop and support manufacturing processes for new products, product changes, enhancement, and related tooling and fixtures which are consistent with zero defect level
  • Monitor low product cost in coordination with Engineering, Quality Assurance and R & D functions
  • Maintain accurate documentation of processes, manufacturing procedures, material records
  • Assign methods and procedures on new priorities and provide technical guidance to other lower-level personnel
  • Designs concepts, tool/fixture drawings and shop orders in coordination with Engineering, Quality Assurance and R & D functions
  • Provide troubleshooting and technical assistance to production departments
  • Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities
  • Assist engineering product development staff to ensure that products under development possess optimal manufacturability and resolve manufacturing issues
  • Writing Assembly and Manufacturing Travelers
  • Complete accurate and timely preventive maintenance on equipment and tooling as needed
  • Address status of work and report any difficulties with those concerned;
  • Train employees on methods, tooling, and procedures for product assembly or fabrication;
  • Support company goals, objectives, policies, procedures, good manufacturing practices, and regulations
  • Follow or exceed established standards;
  • Professional and able to keep confidential matters discreet when handling sensitive information
  • Ability to react to changes productively and perform other essential tasks as assigned
  • Maintain a working knowledge of AS9100 / ISO policies, procedures, and directives

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree or equivalent, in Mechanical /Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering
  • 3-5+ years of related experience
  • Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma certification desired.
  • Must be computer proficient
  • Manufacturing experience required
  • Previous aerospace or AS9100 experience a plus
  • Must be ITAR compliant
