Job Description
Expanding ISO 9001 and AS9100 certified manufacturing company has immediate need for an experiencedElectrical Engineer (Sensor Design)for the new facility located in Phoenix, AZ. Great opportunity to join an established company in a brand new building. Permanent full time position with great benefits!

RESPONSIBILITIES:


·Perform sensor design, development and testing on a variety of projects

· Collaboratewith Engineering to define and develop design concepts to meet customer requirements

·Review customer specifications and assist with technical proposals on new sensor applications

·Analyze, interpret and apply military and commercial specifications for product performance

·Sensor testing using a variety of pressure, temperature and electronic equipment

·Calibration and temperature compensation of pressure sensors

·Hands-on prototyping and testing of new designs to verify the operational performance

·Proposes technical solutions, prepares reports, maintains engineering data, and participates in meetings and reviews

·Interface with external hardware/software resources

·Interface with engineers to ensure products meet requirements and are testable during production

·Perform digital and analog design analysis, generation of schematic diagrams, assembly drawings and parts lists, system level interconnection drawings and wiring diagrams

·Experience with programmable analog sensor signal conditioners is a plus

·Testing experience with Lab VIEW software or python is a plus

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Wheatstone Bridge Sensor Design experience
  • 3+ years related work experience;
  • Embedded designs (microprocessor, RAM, EEPROM), analog circuit design (OP-Amps, Filters, SPICE simulation), power supplies, digital circuit design, signal conversion and filtering, signal quality analysis and frequency response.
  • Altium (Orcad, Dip trace or equivalent PCB design tools) and embedded software architecture.
  • PCB design and experience with design software tools in( layout of different layers, trace width, via, component packages, pad arrangements and surface mount technologies) are a plus.
  • Electronic test equipment such as: power supplies, multi-meters, dielectric, insulation resistance, etc.
  • LABVIEW, MATLAB or similar test software
  • RTCA-DO 160 & 258 standards knowledge is a plus
  • MS Project, Excel, Word and Power Point
  • Knowledge of QC processes and various stages of production process
  • Engineering Degree
