Job Description
Growing manufacturer in Chandler is expanding and looking for experienced 1st Article Quality Inspector to join the team!

In this role you will be reviewing blueprints and specs and perform 1st article,various receiving inspections, in-process inspections, verification of completed paperwork, identifying non-conformance issues, final product inspection and checking dimensions of production detail parts and assemblies using precision measuring devices.

Overview of Duties:
  • Basic AS9102, First article and PPAP skills.
  • First article inspection using in-house programs such as Inspection Xpert and Net Inspect.
  • Identify drawing revision changes as well as purchase order requirements.
  • Basic knowledge of the requirements, maintenance, and implementation of AS9100 guidelines is require
  • Perform receiving, 1st piece checks, in process, and final inspection, as needed
  • Generate required reports, perform verifications, tracking of data and recommendation of process improvements
  • Verify incoming product to ensure purchase orders and customer requirements are met.
  • Confirm assemblies meet all customer requirements.
  • Make sure that instruments used for product acceptance are in calibration prior to use.
  • Document and report non-conformance from specifications and tolerances per established procedures.
  • Maintain inspection records and complete inspection reports.
  • Create manufacturing and distribution PPAP submissions per customer requirements
  • Create AS9102 cert packages for FAIRs, when required.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • 3+ years of work related experience preferred.
  • Ability to understand customer specifications and requirements.
  • Geometric dimensioning and tolerances (GD&T)
  • Able to read blueprints
  • Experience measuring equipment, such as scales, calipers, micrometers, hand tools.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational, time management and follow-up skills.
  • Experience with ISO 9001, AS9100, and AS9102.
  • Knowledge of FAI’s, DIP’s, and Net Inspect.
  • Effective communication skills both oral and written.
