Job Description

Growing Ontario manufacturing company now hiring experienced Quality Engineer to add to their Engineering team.

Responsible for reporting quality information related to the supplier’s quality, communicating results and reporting information to suppliers.

Works with suppliers, design engineering, and fashion to address design issues, warranty issues and quality issues.

Responsible for gathering, interpreting  information such as:Customer quality complaint data collection and analysis.Field quality related issue resolution.

Assisting in the customer service feedback process. This position is also responsible for directing questions to the appropriate supplier resources as well as participating in the investigation of the root causes of these issues.

Communicating quality information status with appropriate team members.

Coordinates with suppliers relating to quality performance, trends and corrective action.

Assures the timely processing of supplier nonconforming materials and assists in the disposition process by participating in failure analysis and corrective action investigations.

Participates on product development teams to review engineering releases and changes, manufacturing methods, and process specifications as it relates to product quality.

Maintains document control and control of records.

Helps write procedures and work instructions as required to support the Quality Management System



2 year Associate of Science in Quality Assurance or Mechanical Technology and 5 years related experience or a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 3-5 years related experience.

ISO 9001 experience

Backgrounds in quality data collection and systems and/or their industrial application are beneficial to this position. A strong desire to communicate technical issues and “hands on” practices is essential to succeeding in this position which will involve customer relations as well as analyzing results of tests.

Good problem solving and interpersonal skills must be demonstrated to be considered for this position.

Develop and improve procedures to assure products continually meet requirements

Provide direct support to the first article process. This will include working with Engineering to assure quality elements are accounted for, conclusive results, and if applicable recommendations for corrective action.

Perform systematic inspections, collaboratively resolve quality issues, and document findings with accuracy, competency and insight.

Microsoft computer skills; word, excel, PowerPoint

This role will be charged with improving the following:

Reduce quality exception errors, and rework

Reduce manufacturing costs

Increase throughput

Able to read and write in English

Bilingual Chinese required

Must be able to travel as required, domestic and international
