Job Description
Inspector Opening in Orange County

Our client a leader in the aerospace manufacturing industry is looking for a Inspector for their facility in Irvine. 

Pay: 17.00-20.00hr

Job Duties Include but not Limited to: 
  • Performs the following types of product testing, as required: tension testing; sustained load testing; hardness testing; torque testing; surface plate set ups; thread gage set up; non-destructive testing; metallurgical testing.
  • With the collaboration of the supervisor or inspector A, will perform receiving inspection of raw materials, process and records inspection results.
  • Ensures that tools and gauges are calibrated, as needed.
  • Operates hand tools and gages; tension tester; optical comparator, harness tester, CMM’s, and laser micrometer.
  • Moves material and parts through Receiving to the Stockroom.
  • Completes receiving and inspection reports and associated paperwork
  • Works effectively as a team member and performs tasks in a timely manner to meet production schedules.
  • Complies with all company safety rules and regulations, including the use of company-provided personal protective equipment/supplies (i.e., safety glasses, hearing protection); maintaining a clean work area.
Minimum Requirements Include:
  • A minimum of two to three year experience in mechanical inspection
  • Must be able to demonstrate the ability to have the required skills for the position.
  • Must be in process to be certified as a Mechanical Inspector, (ANSI Y14.5.)
  • Must be cross-trained in most areas of inspection.
  • Must be able to run CMM programs.
  • Ability to work well with other departments
  • Self-motivated individual who can work independently as well as work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, blueprints and procedure manuals as well to write routine data on routers.
  • Ability to provide training functions to co-workers as required.
  • Knowledge of shop practices and procedures.

Education

  • Certificate from college or technical school, minimum a High School Diploma
