ELECTRONIC TECHNICIAN I

TEMP TO POSSIBLE HIRE

LOCATION:   IRVINE

DESCRIPTION:


Responsible for effectively and efficiently completing repair work on defective or damaged products and for pre-installation product configuration as needed

1.       Assumes responsibility for the timely and accurate configuration of capital equipment, and repair of defective or damaged products for some Company product lines

a.                    Completes quality product repairs promptly

b.                   Handles parts and loaner shipments in a timely manner

c.                    Maintains, tests, and repairs used and loaner equipment

d.                   Stays technically current with all Company's product lines

e.                   Conducts engineering changes on product line

f.                     Documents all problems and repair requirements

g.                    Effectively configures capital equipment on time

 

2.       Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective working relations, communication, and coordination with Company personnel and management

a.                    Assists technical support personnel as needed

b.                   Keeps management informed of area activities and of any significant problems

c.                    Attends and participates in meetings as required

 

d.                   Assumes responsibility for other duties as required or assigned

 

1.                   Defective or damaged products are repaired or replaced in a timely and effective manner

2.                   Customers are provided prompt and excellent technical repair service; problems are politely and quickly researched and resolved

 

3.                   Loaner equipment is maintained, shipped, and tracked in accordance with established policies

1.                   Capital equipment is configured shipped, and tracked in accordance with established policies

2.                   Effective working relations exist with Company personnel; assistance is provided as needed

3.                   Management is appropriately informed of area activities and of any significant problems

 

 

REQUIRED

 

      High School Diploma and some course work in one or more of the following disciplines: Electronics, Biomedical, or Computer Science.

Strong technical background

                        Basic knowledge of medical device product design and assembly

Medical repair experience preferred

Able to troubleshoot and repair products quickly

Good communication skills

Well organized and attentive to detail

Strong team player

Able to work independently

Able to use all related technical applications

Ability to use various hand tools
