Job Description
Jr. Maintenance Mechanic Opening in Orange County 

Our client a leader in the food service manufacturing industry  is looking for Jr. Maintenance Mechanic in there Huntington Beach location.

Pay: 20hr 

Job Responsibility include but not limited to:

  • Visually or manually inspects, or listens to machines and equipment to locate causes of malfunctions.
  • Visually locates damaged air, hydraulic and grease components on machines
  • Measures, cuts, threads and installs new pipes, hoses, valve, and manifolds as necessary. Sets up and operates metal working tools such as drill press or grinder and operates in a safe manner.
  • Dismantles machines and equipment to gain access to repair area by using handheld and pneumatic tools.
  • Able to use the control systems on equipment and machinery to start, move, and test and properly shut down in order to complete work needed.
  • Ability to review the operation of equipment before and after repairs and determine degree of repairs needed or success of repairs completed.
  • Maintains spare parts inventory by properly requisitioning necessary part(s) for repair and orders replacement part if used.  Such as fittings, valves, hoses, filters, etc.
Required Knowledge/Experience:
  1. One year certificate (Engineering Technology) from a college or technical school. Or three (3) to six (6) months related experience Basic Hydraulics and Electrical Trouble Shooting) in a manufacturing environment, and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  2. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions, procedural manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence that is legible and understandable.

  3. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

  4. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
