Job Description
We are hiring a Worker's Compensation Administrator for our client in Hawaiian Gardens.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Plans, organizes and administers the company Worker's Compensation program, including the review, reporting, and processing of claims and legal documents.  Oversees the management of employee injury cases; investigates claims, advises employees of their benefits.  Manages leaves of absences related to workers' compensation claims.  Maintains accurate records of claims and leave of absence history.  Responsible for maintaining and reporting OSHA 300 information.  In addition, is a key member of the company's safely committee to strategize in promoting a safer work environment.  Responsible for adherence of established policies and procedures and compliance of state and federal laws connected with these functions.
This position may also be assigned various Human Resources related duties.
This position has no supervisor duties.

Qualifications

Education AND/OR Experience
Associate's Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school preferred and two to three years workers compensation experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Knowledge of pertinent federal, state, and local laws, codes and safety regulations as they relate to workers compensation and OSHA.

Language Skills
Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.  Knowledge of medical and technical terminology used in industrial injury cases.

Computer Skills
Must demonstrate better than competent knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and HRIS software.
