Experience: 4+ years of Manufacturing experience

Our client is a leading manufacturer of custom-built seating in Buena Park; they are looking for top notch Production Scheduler.

Position Summary:

Build for success as a Production Scheduler.   

Our Production Scheduler executes within quick turnaround times across multiple plant operations (California and Mexico).  Join the top seating manufacturing company in North America where unique challenges breaks the monotony of your day.  Build networks with multiple departments to create efficient operation schedules to produce a high quality product, building organize and safe work environment, and maintain customer committed ship date.

Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

  • Problem solving and high attention to detail
  • Identify part constraints, assembly capacity, and operational waste to support operations in meeting customer order expectations.
  • Support the team in meeting its key performance metrics and developing a department focused on operational excellence.
  • Rescheduling of work orders based on new etas provided by various departments.
  • Ability to create production schedules using Microsoft Dynamics AX

 

Qualifications, Skills and Education:

Required Qualifications:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (e.g., complex formulas, lookups, pivot tables) and Outlook.
  • Microsoft Dynamics AX
  • General knowledge of manufacturing processes
  • Can adapt quickly to changing demand and volume to meet customer expectation.
  • Ability to type 40+ wpm
  • Creative, innovative problem solver with ability to implement effectively
  • Must have positive attitude, self-motivation, strong organization skills, and attention for detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred. 
  • 4+ years of Manufacturing experience.
  • Manufacturing Certifications a plus, such as APIC Certification.
  • Bi-Lingual (English – Spanish)

 

Working conditions:

Working mostly in office setting, but may require to go out to production floor for shop supplies or communication of issues.
