Job Description

Our client who is leader in the Aerospace Industry is looking for an experienced R&D Technician professional to join their team! This is a great opportunity to put your experience and skills to use for a highly reputable company.

R&D Technician

Hours: 1st shift

Salary: $18.00 to $28.00 hourly DOE (depending on experience)


Job Duties:

*Providing support to Engineering activities such as design, test, checkout, modification, fabrication and assembly of prototype electro-mechanical systems, experimental design circuitry or specialized test equipment. 

*Work from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform testing, checkout and troubleshoot functions.

*Conduct Engineering tests and detailed experimental testing to collect design data or assist in research work.

*Perform operational test and fault isolation on systems and equipment.

*Assist in determining methods or actions to remedy malfunctions. 

*Assist in the design, construction, test and check out of test equipment. 

*Utilize manufacturing test, development or diagnostic equipment such as oscilloscopes, VOD, DVM, signal generators and specialized test apparatus. 

*Assist with other duties as needed or requested.

Job Requirements:

* 2 - 3 years minimum experience with testing, analyzing and reporting on new research and developments with microcontroller based electronic systems. 

* Experience setting up, operating and understanding basic electrical test equipment such as DVM's, oscilloscopes, WavGens, power meters and associated data recorders. 

* Possess the knowledge and skills to be able to test, troubleshoot or fix hardware or software issues.

*Excellent communication and writing skills.

* The ability to read and follow detailed test procedures. Write routine reports and correspondence and possess the ability to communicate technical requirements with engineering technology.

*AA in Electronics or Technical C school is considered a plus!
